Importing additional partner addresses
Partner master and every address (invoicing, postal, etc.) belonging to a particular partner can be uploaded to your database very quickly. The data import feature makes your work easier and saves you plenty of time.
To use the Excel importer, it is important to have a spreadsheet program meeting system requirements available. It can be Microsoft Office 2003+ or Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable (a free download from the Microsoft website).
Before installation, PERFORM A BACKUP on your live data. According to the settings, the data importer will overwrite the current product master.
Do you have data that you do not wish to import? It is advised to delete these columns from the spreadsheet. If you import to update or modify the current product master (i.e., not to a blank database), pay special attention to the blank columns of the Excel spreadsheet. A blank field can cause exisitng data to be overwritten.
The spreadsheet to import must contain the headers of compulsory fields. It can also have additional columns in any order.
Green data blocks are imported if they are written in the spreadsheet in a given sequence. For example: data of address datasheets on the Address tab of the Partners datasheet.
Do you wish to enter multiple addresses? Green data blocks can be present in the spreadsheet more than once.
